Despicable Me 1, menceritakan bahwa Gru ingin sekali pergi ke bulan, namun ibunya tidak menyetujui bahkan meremehkan dia, untuk itulah dia sangat berambisi dan ingin mewujudkan impiannya ke bulan.

Despicable Me 2, bercerita tentang persaingannya dengan tetangganya yang tidak kalah canggih dengan dia.

Plot :
While Gru, the ex-supervillain is adjusting to family life and an attempted honest living in the jam business, a secret Arctic laboratory is stolen.
